AI Dialogue Generator
Put two (or more) characters in a room and give them a reason to talk. The dialogue studio writes the scene in fanfic prose, voices kept distinct, ready to drop into your chapter.
Name at least the characters or the situation, then press Write the scene.
Writing dialogue that sounds like the character
Readers of fanfic already know how these characters talk — that's the bar. Four checks that fix most flat dialogue:
- Cover the names. If you can't tell who is speaking without the tag, the voices are too similar. Give one short sentences, the other long ones; one who asks questions, one who deflects.
- Subtext beats text. People rarely say what they mean in an emotional scene. "Did you eat?" can mean "I was worried about you."
- Use "said". Fancy tags (exclaimed, retorted, ejaculated) pull attention off the words. Action beats — she set down the cup — carry emotion better.
- Cut the greetings. Start late, leave early: skip the hellos and goodbyes unless they matter.
Punctuation trips up a lot of writers: the comma goes inside the quotation marks when a tag follows ("I know," he said), and a new speaker always gets a new paragraph. The AO3 formatter keeps your paragraph breaks intact when you post.

Questions writers ask
How does the AI dialogue generator work?
You name the characters, a situation and a tone. The AI writes a 350–450 word, dialogue-driven scene in fanfic prose style — with tags and action beats — trying to keep each character's voice distinct.
Can I force a specific line into the scene?
Yes. Put it in "Must include" — a line of dialogue, a callback, or an object that has to appear. The AI works it in.
Is it script format or prose?
Prose, the way fics are usually written: "Line," she said, with small actions between lines. If you want the Tumblr script format, use the incorrect quotes generator.
How do I make dialogue sound like the character?
Give each character a verbal habit — a word they overuse, a sentence length, a topic they dodge — and let them talk past each other. The guide below the generator walks through it.
